2.0 Vauxhall Redtop Engined Mini!

I have been pondering about doing a mini rebuild for a good while now. Finally I decided to take the plunge and buy myself a nearly, half decent shell.
The plan is for my 2.0 Vauxhall redtop engine to go in using the allspeed engineering subframe kit.
I have been planning the car out for a good while now so I know roughly what its going to be like(hopefully).
The shell will be fully deseamed, painted in dynorod orange(colour of those dynorod vans), with 2 central black stripes all the way over the car. There will be a semi-race type interior, im going with a carbon dash, bucket seats etc, but im going to give them a more comfortable feel(not too sure what I even mean by this, but im sure it will work somehow)
My friend and I are apprentice engineers so we are hoping to stick in some modified parts here and there just to spice things up, and can make them at work for free:))
I hope to do lots of other cool things, but no doubt I will need the help of more experienced people on TMF so stay tuned, and I will try to update the thread every day or two.
Cheers;)
