motorworld if theres one left near you haha

halfrauds have the inline fuses i believe and all you will need is standard glass fuses cylinder type
as for the wire if you know where to get 42amp wire from let me know

if not next one down seems to be 27amp

ring terminals and stuff im sure halfrauds might do them but id also try B+Q or local electrical stores

Just been thinking you cant put a heavy duty cable with a big fuse and run high amps off it, you've taken it off a tiny wire, because you'll melt that little wire, so your in the same position. need to find a decent source for the wire.

Well i think it means the Solenoid. attach it to the battery end of that, i mean the Starters not in use all the time, so im pretty sure the guide means the Solenoid.

sorry to hijack by the way but will running a 27amp wire still be ok despite that guide says 42 amp wire?

Yer i was thinking the later type Starters had the solenoid mounted ontop of the starter, so it could be to make it easier for people, personally i found it more confusing, But...
As long as you have a fuse below the 27Amp it will be fine, and if the fuse keeps belowing you know you need to up the Wire spec and fuse to match.

Quite easy to attach to Solenoid, just use a Ring connection or similar of the same size of the battery connection to the solenoid, and literally add it to the same terminal as to where the batter connects to the solenoid. (i cant remember exactly but its usually a threaded piece on teh solenoid, bit like a bolt, that the battery wire has a ring connector around, it is then tightened down by a washing locker and nut, so this means you can place 2 or more rings on the bolt thing, and then just tighten down with the nut to keep a connection with all the rings around the bolt thing)
