by the way when you go halfords get the box of heat shrink lot of different sizes and very good stuff
nope not working yet all that needs doing is earth wire wiring on and then wiring up to the lighter but first i need a bracket.
shame you wasnt able to do yours today though...was quite fun despite sitting in the sun

instead of doin this i made my centre console today and found an awsome place to put the cigerette lighter.
i was also thinking of putting a switch on the positive wire near the lighter so i can control whether it is on or off so if im not using it i can keep it off. do you reckon this is a good idea?

sounds like a good idea actually on less thing to take power when using the car anyway.

so how far are you with it then. have you just connected the wire to the solenoid or have you fed it through to the inside and connected it up (except earth)?

have you not looked at the pictures

aye the live wire is all crimped up and connected to the starter now and has been fed through into the car via the internal release hole in the bulk head, was a tight fit but got it through the grommet and hole in the end.. then ive ran it over the top of the heater and down by the stereo
just a case of earthing it up and connecting it to the actual cigi lighter then it should be good to go
fingers crossed lol

i'll find somewhere to wire them up to not that fussed about it tbf as im planning on putting to blue LEDs either side of it anyway and they will run of there own little power source and switch so they will light it up (probs light up the hole car with how bright they are)
