dont you need to adjust the compresion accuratly when super/turbo-charging.
1.surly that would mean that its at the wrong compreesion ratio if he uses a compression plate.
2.or its at the corect ratio and you will have holes in your pistons soon
or
3. iv got the wrong end of the stick
when i was looking at turbo mini, i would need to work out the CR to suit how much boost im am to use . is it not the same?
and you needed to upgrade to better turbo pistons. is this not needed when supercharging???
yes you have to lower the compression ratio
normal with suck through set up is 8.1/ 8.2 max ideally done by opening up the chambers in the head , but decomp plates work as well other wise v-scartmax would not sell in their kit ,but he only recomends for use up to 150hhp
no you dont need to change pistons etc as your runnng lower com ratio as long as set up correctly them they work fine neither of my supercharged engines had ant special pistons etc just a lowered comp ration and less dizzy advance
my new engine will use standard after market +20thou pistons although have got some h rods as came along at a good price and crank has been wedged and cross drilled but does not need doing but as am building from scratch thought might as well do it
at the minute just swapping a mates kit from carb to injection while his is on holiday
