why did you buy a full metro for the 1L engine? surely you'd be cheaper just buying an engine complete with the front subby etc. i sold my 998 with a subframe, disks, calipers, hubs, arms, tie rods etc etc for £80.
Because it was a surprise Xmas present from my dad, he got it cheap off a mate apprently. And where iam on the island - not many engines kicking around that are all there, means going to the mainland to pick one up which then puts costs way up.

And im waiting on my dad to get his Cortina bits ready for blasting so that i can get my subframe bits done at the same time.
Then i can really crack on wih it.
Bits blasted > Reasemble Subframes > Engine on the Subframe > Sort out the original Steering rack > Bits so far attached... You get the idea

Theres still a few odd bits to weld on the shell, but its a case of getting hold of the Mobile welder.

Good choice though on the Bug, my Dad told me you parted with the Silvia, that would have been a monster

Didnt make it up to mates this evening but supposed to be up there tuesday instead. So anytime soon i should get my arse into gear!
