Good question.

Looking through my old paperwork they are Moulton Smootha Ride cones bought in late 2007.

I sold all my Star Wars and Action Man toys from in my loft on eBay and used the money to buy a complete new adjustable suspension, new brake and fuel pipes, revo alloys + falken tyres and an engine steady kit which I have yet to fit.

I tell my mates I sold my childhood on eBay to pay for an upgrade to my biggest toy.

Good luck with Mini Spares.

I only had one problem when I was fixing my wiper jets and pipes and the guy phoned me, we had a chat, and he sent me free spares. But then they were for pennies and not pounds.

just thinking i bought the two cones at the front together, the passenger side seems to go down quite far (not like the other side, but compared to others cars, maybe minispares had a dodgey supply? or im fitting them wrong

its got even worse now started to get the cone out and the tool snapped and is now stuck in the cone so me and me dad will have to get the arm off to get it out, i will need a new compression tool, although i know someone who could make it for me so will let you know how i get on, but for now my mini is gonna be off the road for a few weeks longer :(

as i have no compression tool, can i still take out the suspension top arm without compressing the cone? by just undoing the nuts and knocking the big bolt through, can it be done and is it safe to do it without compressing the cone?

ive had the comepression tool repaired, and have got the cone out, and it looks like thats the problem, its all warped in the middle theres a picture attached to show it.

it also looks like the metal part and rubber part have seperated which may have meant why the cone was compressing so much.

Yup your doughnut doesn't look right at all mate, especially in the on-car shot. I reckon that's your problem.. may be a good idea to fit a pair though!
