The work and money that has been spent on this little car is unbelievable, i bought the car completed 2 years ago but have just not had the time so it has been sat in my garage. its is time this car went to some one it belongs and who has a passion for mini's. i put it through its mot last month and it had the following work done- wheel bering, both rear radius arms, emissions tuning, rear break lights re wiring, rear break cylinders replaced. all this work cast me £530 and now the car is good to go!
The performance of the mini is something else, the low down torque just puts you back in your seat a treat. it is also reasonable to run averaging about 35 mpg.
Have a good look at the photos, i will be adding some more shortly. i must say that this car should be vied to be appreciated.
The car did come with a folder full of recipes and pictures of the work being done, i have misplaced this but will try my best to find it befor the end of the sale! no TAX will come with the car.
Edit -
Just found a post on a forum from the original builder
Just finished my mates 1.6 8v C16SE nova GSI lumped mini. After chasing my astra up the M40 and melting the block/head (yes read correct, block, between 1 and 2). On a budget and in a round nose front and by making pretty much everything its now on a 100bhp c16SE. I personally didn't build the frame, and very skilled mate of mine did it, modified mini one, everything else I have done (apart from driveshafts, I turned them up but did not weld them) I built all the mounts to incorporate standard nova ones, it uses standard nova clutch and thottle cables (making it easy to change parts) and also uses only slightly modified mini pedal box. We have tried from the outset to use standard parts wherever possible. all in fired on the key, uses vauxhall digi dash, and still keeps all the engine management to any faults can be tech 1'd etc.
drives unlike a 100 bhp mini (although that conservative it has a full 4 branch exhaust manifold, k/n filter and free flow exhuats system) torquey as hell pulls from low revs and for such a baby engine, the mini does a genuine 120mph and would probably pull a little more (off course on my private runway)
Starting to feel like Sherlock holmes, fetch my pipe watson.
