I’ve pretty my given up with the bunch of inbreeds that I’ve got as neighbours. As I’ve recently been questioned over the use of a light (40 watt) down in the garage with the door open a jar for ventilation In the afternoons/evenings, because it’s too dark to work in otherwise.

I have to start my Mini project here sometime soon and I have a bunch of grinding, cutting, welding etc...etc... to do. I'm going to be considerate of my neighbors BUT I'm going to get my project done. I am not going to slow down for anyone that has an issue with the sounds coming from my garage. If I slowed down my project then I would only be prolonging the noise. I'll consider it a great big band-aid that I'm going to carefully pull off FAST! Just my 2 cents.

Exactly. I am in the same boat as you.I have to start my Mini project here sometime soon and I have a bunch of grinding, cutting, welding etc...etc... to do. Both neighbours have very young kids so i have already seen them to explain what it is i am doing and that it will make some noise but on the other hand i have also asked them what time there babies go to bed of an evening and have assured them that from that time noise will be at a minimum.

Im in the middle of a dispute with neighbours across the road over parking. If i park on our side of the road, but infront of there house, they two mid 20's lads park 1/2 inch from each side of my car.
Ive had threats of voilence, verbal abuse etc.
Ive started taking photos for the council/police about the parking. Ive reported it to the police who are going to pursue them under the harassment charge or a public order offence.
Actually, we are now using a indoor CCTV camera in the window to capture the parking and the abuse.
What as the world come to when 2 mid 20's to 30 year olds resort to this kind of childish behaviour when ive parked on a public highway committing no offences other then upsetting them.
I hope the police can do something with them, espically now we have CCTV footage that the police said would be helpful.

Why on earth are they doing that Jordie?
it isn't in their way or anything? Well, clearly not if they're able to maneouver their own cars to block you in...

Merely because they think they should be able to park bang opposite there house. But its also bang opposite my house.
If the street is empty and I am parked infront of my house, (opposite theres also) then they park up 1/2 inch away from either side of my car. If i am parked in the same place and other neighbours are parked normally and curtoesly, leaving a gap to access a vehicle and be able to pull out. They wait in the window until I leave in my car, then immediately run outside and park there cars in the gap ive just left.
Its all very childish I tell you. But now the threats of voilence and the abuse are daily, we have involved the police and gathering CCTV evidence againist them for the police and council. Its going to be a long and awkward process, but hopefully we will prevail without resorting to voilence and becoming as low lifes as they are...

some people have literally no life. if you've got cctv and they mark your car in the process of blocking you in that could be something extra for the file.
i used to have a bit of a problem with an old couple on our road (about 10yrs or so ago), they used to moan about absolutely everything. not just about my dad working on his MG but also about us kids, theres a patch of grass across the road from them that we used to play football on when we were about 8 or something, they got permission from the council to plant two trees on it but failed to realise that planting two trees about 10ft apart makes pretty good goalposts.
the bloke has since had a triple heart bypass and i think they've realised that life is too short. they even ask me about my car now and what i've done to it. turns out he's had 2 minis in his time.
