Got back from 5 months in Austria yesterday, and today I did an oil and filter change, changed the coolant, replaced the plugs and HT leads and set the tappets.
Still didn't get her started though
When I turned the key the ignition light would come on, but the starter wouldnt turn. I put a screw driver over the solenoid and that got the engine cranking though, so I'll have to check the wiring tomorrow.
Oh, and get it taxed. Helps.

Then I bought some road tax! So I can go for a drive about now, but only at day time when it's sunny, as I still havn't fixed the lights or wipers.

This morning I removed the solenoid, cleaned it all up, checked all the terminals, cleaned the wires and refitted it all and still it wouldn't start! Gave up, had a cup of tea, chatted to a mate on Facebook. When I signed off I joked that I had to go and fix my Mini unless it had decided to fix itself. Went out, turned the key.. And it roared to life! Mental.. Sounded really healthy though, new plugs and leads doing well. Then fixed a leak on the top hose.

Your screwed when good old British weather decides to randomly change into dull rainy darkness. As it dose all to often this time off year good luck to you

went swimming in it!!
You filled it with water? Or you drove into a pool Keith Moon style?
I attached two wheel arches (which required way more work than expected) and covered an area the size of my torso in P40.
