What an absolute nightmare! Went down there and couldn't remove the old hinges, so had to bring them back and mash them off with the plasma cutter (LOVE IT!) Made getting the old ones off easy, BUT the threaded plate inside was spot welded, to the thicker part of the frame - underneath the bit you can easily get to! Really bad description i know, but basically had to pull the door apart loads more, chop some 6mm plate with the cutter to make some more plates, drill and tap them to M6, then put the door back together, and repair the door where it had rusted and split around the hinge. Got to the stage of fitting the door to the car to check for fit (easier said than done on a minus as the hinge studs come out inside the car in a small cut-out of the body).
No pics as i CBA to charge phone up.
Doubt I'm down there tomorrow either, but 90% of one door is done.

Sheeted up:

Door:

This bit had a whole new section going from the top right corner of the square hole to the edge, and from the middle of the bottom of the square, curving round to 2" below the lowest door hinge hole. Pretty pleased with that repair to be honest.

Slapped a load of red oxide in there for good measure, then hammerite it all up before sticking skin on
