Just as a warning on this. Having just returned from the run which must not (it seems) be mentioned, this year the Ring (as opposed to the Run) organisers were a bit stingy. Our half-hour included the time we spent forming up on the grid - we were not allowed on one second before our start time, and forming up a grid of more than 50 Minis took about 12 mins - and they were very swift (i.e.about 10 mins early) in putting the cones across the straight by the 'normal' exit.
Which all meant that those who started near the back of the last column to leave, and who weren't that quick, only managed one lap. Which is a shame, as very few people have had the pleasure of completing consecutive laps - apart from those who have raced there, or completed another unmentionable run in 2008.
