I'm currently doing mine. I have the 1990 racing green. Started on the engine today and have had to order a new wiring loom as mine is buggered! have all my interior ready though (priorities eh :D) going for the 'classic' look for my first rebuild. This will be my everyday car but no reason why I can't have it looking show perfect :D Where are you based?

My guess would be a duff or dying cell in your battery. Any good motor spares
place will be able to test the output voltage of your alternator and load test the
battery though.

One final thought, are you 100% sure that nothing it being left on in the car? An interior
light or stereo will easily kill a battery overnight. Disconnecting your battery over night
is a good test for this.
