I think it's cheap, isn't it?

Stefan

Sorry Stefan , Norfolkline seems to be best at the moment - £60.00 cheaper for a van with trailer !!

We're making a proper road trip of this, leaving on Tuesday 17th and returning Thursday 27th coming back via the Ring :D

Has anybody managed to find cheap Euro recovery cover? We've got 10 minis going but the cheapest we can find is £70 per car to include recovery to the UK :)

simple question now, very simple its probably already been mentioned in here.

am i allowed to bring my non mini? my peugeot 106...only reason i ask is because the journey thats planned the french/german leg alone is 500 miles and my engine wont appreciate all the miles, to be honest its not a motorway cruser, its a 3.77 diff with SCCR everything, very noise...no sterio etc so id prefer to take a car that will get 40mpg and my ears wont bleed

(also has anyone noticed how close to the ring the route is?? mighty tempting)

@mini93: Of course you can travel with a non-mini.
But "normal" cars (not MINI) have to park in a seperated parking area at the entrance to the IMM.

kind regards

Stefan

ok, well its unlikely im going anymore...but does it not work like it did last year? parking where you camp with your club? last year we had a car which we used to run fridges, store generators etc etc...if i was parking my car away from camping that wouldnt be possible. its a support car for a reason surely...to be close to the minis

Yes you do need tickets, please look at the website there is a link to it in the first posting. Ferry tickets depend on which line you go with, there are plenty of choices, I am going with Norfolkline, but shop around and see which is the best deal for you; it is very easy to buy your tickets on line. If you use the promotional code then just type that in. The other alternative is to go on Eurotunnel, although this generally works out a lot more expensive.

Firstly check to see if your bank offer any kind of deal. My partner who's with Barclays gets free breakdown but only cars upto 10 years.
We're taking our '96 spi and have arranged cover through Tesco £36 for eight days. I did find a firm who went upto twenty year old cars but I'm not sure who it was..... try google - I did.
