To be honest, the two that knocked on the door late at night were little older than school boys.. don't think I'm dealing with an organised car crime ring lol, but it has annoyed me a bit.

It'll be going to bed in it's garage when the road salt comes, so maybe I should consider hibinating it early

I could only reiterate the current points but the mains one i would agree with is if you have a garrage USE IT!

Put your car in the garrage, and then lock it up, that way anyone who wants to nick it is going to take a while to do so, by which time the cops could be waiting for them. Also, when they do get caught, they get charged with an extra offence (breaking and entering) so should end up with a greater sentence.

Maybe you should politely say that the car's not for sale, but take their names, numbers, address etc in case you "change your mind"?

Hi all,

Recently, I've had the odd person knock on my door asking if I'd like to sell my Mini.

I don't mind so much, but last night really topped it off.

2x chavs, knocked my neighbours, then my front door at nearly 11PM asking if I'd sell the car. Scrote #1 then said 'I want it for banger racing'!!!

Now I know it isn't the most imacculate car out there, but it's pretty presentable and totally original. I could hardly believe it to be honest, he was thinking in the region of £100. These people are not only totally deluded, stupid and inconsiderate, they're also dangerous, desperate and devoid of any morals whatsoever. Hence, I'm now slightly concerned they want to nick the Mini.

I use the car every other day, it's taxed MoT'd and insured so it's hardly as if it never goes anywhere.

I've put a 'not for sale' sign in the back window now..

Just stupid chavs... or something more sinister???

You cant imagine how many peepz can ask if you're selling your mini, manly for racing, then when you really want to seel it, you'll find no one interested..Anyway banger racing should be banned, the most stupid racing ever in my opinion .
