Project looks good, cant wait to see it all complete. Would love to build a miglia spec road car. Noticed on page 6 that you have your drive flanges mounted back to front on your cooper S disks.

Hi,

Proper Update Now:

Sorry I’ve been away for so long. I have update for you all, it’s mainly what I have been happening to the mini shell which old skool minis have who are doing an fantastic job, if anyone wants work done I would say go there, and I dont even have to think twice about it !

Here are pictures of the shell which has been painted by old skool in the colour I requested, I think the job is the BEST paint job I have EVER seen and it’s not even polished :D :P !! It’s going to look even better when all the Carbon Fibre panels go on. x10 better than I expected it to be !! ;) !!! So want to say a big thanks to Stuart, Roy and Paul so far for the amazing work !!

Will get the transformation pictures when I pick up the mini.

You can also notice my custom brake bias pedal box which they’ve mounted to give enough space for the steering column. Using not a matrix heater as my engine plans don’t really required one.....can anyone guess what I have in the pipe line (I think a few guys already know)

Driver’s seat they have created a mounting point so the seat doesn’t move however I can move it backwards and forward. With the Passengers seat tilting so I can have access to the back battery box and put a few things in.

Piping and fuelling will be done via the centre of inside the car.

So when I collect the shell.

1. Fitment of fuel tank, battery box, brake piping and fuelling system.
2. Front brakes discs, rear superfins, driveshafts.
3. Electronics and interior clocks/ gauges.
4. Interior carpet (maybe) – smarten it up.

5. Then the ENGINE + engine bay area. 

Before finishing off the exterior.

So enjoy for now.

Evening All,

Just been for a quick visit to see the mini at old skool minis as I'm now based in Birmingham, to drop off a few bits.

Front subframe in place.
steering column in
steering rack in.
Cooper s discs fitted and wheels.

All brought set of new driveshafts, x2 stainless steel bumpers, pair of p700 lights and some adjustable gaz shock......(i got a bit excited).

Only bad news is that the miglia carbon fibre arches from arc angels were for all for the front. So i face a race against time to get the two for the rear before friday, been trying most of the afternoon but no answer.

I've already sorted out the trailer for Saturday's pick up.....

gorgeous james
can you not put the arches on yourself after you've got it at home? or does it need screwing in or something :S

I can do, although the carbon fibre may require cutting down and if I mess that up i'm pretty buggered !

It'll be at my sisters place in Watford as there are too many kids at my mums place in Harrow. Although I'm going to ask BMW of I can keep it in there garage as it quite safe and in the dry.

Really excited!! Top work by old skool minis!!

Got a reply from arc angels so crisis over I think. "Our miglia arches are the same for the front and rear, basically the front left is the same as the rear right. front right the same as rear left etc."
