its nice to start with, like someone said its ideal for pest control due to its light weight and short barrel.
only thing with CO2 is how quick the power drops off your good for 15shots at full power then they get weaker and therefore less accurate.
i can hit a 2p at 20-25yards with one! im sure theres a few mods you can do to increase power and such, but you have to watch the overall power.
theres a king ratcatcher which takes the big co2 canisters upto 150shots, my cousins got one but has suffered with leaks a few times!
hope this is of some use??

Thats superb thanks. Ive just joined a Air rifle fourm to ask a few questions. The one im looking at is here. Im looking at around 50 shots a canister. So if the first goes at 25 metres, around 80ft, how far does the last few go roughly? Like 70ft or something?
Thanks

Just looked for you at the Crossman @50.Ask seller if it leaks gas.If it works fine it is a real bargain. For a air pistol you will be shocked on the single shot power and they aim tops.A very good pistol and great value even new.
Thanks for the advice, it has no gas with it so thats another tenner or so. Probably get some more pellets while im at it.

No if the seals have gone no buy.
Is there anyway to tell without gas?
Surely it is possible to change them though?

the link u posted to the airsfot rifle will be fine for backyard shooting of mates
no it wont dont listen to this!
thats a .22 air rifle not bb/airsoft toy! i have very clean holes through my shed to prove it!
the ratcatcher is very close to the legal limit, which once crossed requires you have a license. as its name suggests its used for vermin and therefore needs to be powerful to be humain.
you dont want to shoot anyone with that unless you want to become the new play thing in prison!

sorry dude it wasnt a personal dig at you (like it may have read) as ive posted in this topic i only carried on reading from my last post and assumed your link was of the ratcatcher.
if your going to be safe then theres no reason not to have an air rifle. ive still got a couple of airsoft bb guns that we did use to shoot each other in mini war games they dont hurt at all!

Yeah i know what my mates are like, one in paticular, would be like, "Yeah it'll be fine it wont hurt, No Ben! But why..."

When i first started looking i was after a Sniper with bolt action for the feel and relism, but they were all out of my price range and then this ccropped up. Perfect!
Thanks for everyones advice, see here for the topic i made. Pretty much sussed it all now thanks to a very helpful member
