I have developed a problem with my 1994 Cooper. In any gear below 3000rpm the car stutters under accelerattion. Above 3000rpm the car pulls strongly. Any help would be most welcome.

Hi,
Start with Sprocket's first step to troubleshoot the SPI here:

Yours might have a clogged line, but follow all his directions. I had both leaky and clogged lines, resulting first in high idle (leak). When that was corrected, I had poor idle and erratic acceleration at low RPM due to the clog that prevented the MAP sensor from responding quickly.
Cheers,
Ivan
