just been reading the article on it in the paper..

it *drunk* me off actually...there is a line where it say's this has got such n such bhp compared to the measly original mini...measly!

Plus just how many times has the BINI won the Monte Carlo Rally?

BMW is flying the Mini heritage...right into the side of a mountain. i HATE the way they're trying to make money off the classic when the new one is nothing like it :proud:

Plus, peter sellers, spike milligan and steve mcqueen all had minis, and don't have new MINI's... there's a perfectly good reason for that... but still!

Forget the fact its a "mini" and see it in the same light you would an R8. They've done a good job.

I read that. Something about the original 34BHP engine being dwarfed or something?
But then, I never believe what I read in the Sun!

It has now been confimed that the MINI Coupe and Speedster are to be built at Cowley, Oxford creating up to 1000 new jobs. Most of the 850 workers laid off in February have since been rehired as MINI sales have risen, helped by a surge in global demand for smaller cars. :gimme:
