I've had my mac for 2 years now. It hasn't crashed, never had a virus.
Fantastic for media applications, if you're looking for gaming computer then PC, if you're looking for a media/design/business etc.. based computer then Mac.

I use Logic at uni, so decided to buy a Macbook. It does it job, and every windows computer I ever owned has started to deteriorate after 2 years, where my Macbook is still going strong.
For me, as a music tech student, I couldn't even consider a PC, because Logic is A-MAZ-ING

PC's all the way.
The extra cost of a mac is simply not worth it.
I dont run any anti virus softwear on my PC, and ive only had one virus in 5 years, which was my fault.
Its slow, but its old, it only has 256mb ram and a tiny processor.
It is still going strong really, just cant cope with my load, i run spotify, MSN, BT web browser and fire fox (both with 10+ tabs)
Its still faster than any of the computers at my school, by miles.
Ive looked at macs... nuff said really.
