I could sit with anyone for a morning and convert them! guaranteed! As i speak I am sitting with a mac mini (5x5x2") little box under my tv, connetcted to my 50" plasma giving me full internet, email, moveis, music, PHOTOSHOP, at the touch of a button and all for £400

Where did you get a mac mini, a 50" plasma and a copy of photoshop for £400? :) Thats a bargain.

Isn't it really a Windows vs OSX or whatever argument?

Macs are more reliable because they're all built by the same manufacturer as the OS. PC's are like an open source project that isn't open :)

I still miss my Amiga

Perhaps I should've said Windows.

Hardware manufacturers develop for Windows really, Linux is still a bit of a side show with 3rd parties often writing the drivers.

You could say PC's are like Minis, no 2 are the same. Dunno if that makes Macs Binis.

i miss my ZX Spectrum. make a 3 course meal while youre trying to load something from a cassette tape!

mac FTW! bought mine a few months ago, as my windows based laptop crashed and died (every windows pc i have had has only lasted a couple of years). Thought id get a mac, as my 1st generation iPod still works after all these years, no regrets with the mac. runs everything i want, opens and runs all the stuff i used to run on my pc. I can run Mac OSX and windows Vista at the same time if i want, though ive not used Vista in ages, as OSX does everything 10x better.

well we used to have pc's at home (and work for that matter), spent £5k on the pc's at home, as dad does CAD and graphic design work. that lasted a year, then things started going wrong. The macs havent caused a problem at all, the mac pro (which was about £3,500!) is 2 years old, and is a hell of a lot more powerful than any gaming PC. PC's get viruses, and crash. happens more times on a pc than a mac, plus OSX is so much slicker and nicer to use than any windows OS (and vista is almost a copy of mac OSX anyway)

either way a pc is a mac and a mac is a pc (personal computer) they just have different aesthetics and software its all down the type of person you are and your needs XD - your pc only crashes if you dont know how to look after it -.-

Ok can we stop this "it broke after X many month/years" at least 75% of all computer problems are down to the user.

More often than not PC's go wrong because of the nut behind the keyboard :goaway:

I have a Toshiba laptop at this moment in time. Its the biggest piece of crap in the world.

Which is why i plan to get a macbook pro. One made of a humoungous slab of metal.

I have one of the new gen nano's and thats indistructible. So going by that i recon the macbook would be indistructible too..

Which is just what i need!
