Many many many things... Pretty much everything. And most of them have panel gaps worth talking about

The engines are stronger, interior is nicer, steering wheels are nicer, piano hinges for rear windows, warning light for low fuel, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. - too much to list!

Just browse through this site:
http://www.inno-mini-world.com - any info you need!

Cheers,
Jan

PS: the one above has put the rear windows on wrong.... And rear lights seem to be Lucas, not Carello or Altissimo  (sorry - just annoracking, I know I'm sad :D )

Quite alot really, The most noticable being the New grill and front quarter windows, But there was a lot of fine changes too.

Innocenti Mini Cooper:

""Its the sport version of the famous Mini Minor , its a car for those who love a sporty type of drive, good acceleration, confort and exceptional handling with the famous Hydrolastic suspension and powerful brakes thanks to front disks and a servo unit. "

Mini 1001 (Export)

"This was the 'luxury' version of the Mini 1000.
It differed by having:

- seats in velor cloth with leatherette side panels
- wooden steering wheel and gear knob
- central console wood look-alike
- windscreen defroster
- wheels that recalled the fuel cap's design
- floor mounted accelerator pedal

The mechanics were kept those of the 1000, ie 998cc engine with 55bhp, 145km/h. The only change was the substitution of the dynamo with an alternator."

Mini Matic:

The Mini Matic had the 998cc engine with 46bhp and an automatic gearbox

Bertone Mini (innocenti):

This was the Bertone designed Mini presented in October 1974. It had a 1275cc engine which developed 64bhp @ 5600rpm. It had a single SU HS6 carburettor and a final drive of 3.647, longer than the Mini 90 which had 3.937 final drive.

I can still remember seeing a gorgious white Innocenti Mini Cooper export in Cardiff back around 1985 and my mate trying to burn it off at the lights in his MK1 Fiesta 950cc.

No contest as that Mini was gone out of sight before my mate got into 2nd gear.

Okay I had acted like a right tool and gave the driver a thumbs up and he just gave me a blank look. But I probably had a little sex wee seeing that amazing Mini and it just blew my mind.

The registration was '1275UK' and many years later I got to chat to it's owner (the same bloke) on Minifinity. I also apologized for acting like a total pratt, but I honestly hadn't seen such a nice Mini before.

I think he said he often got that kind of reaction as its such a cracking Mini.

I like a lot of the little touches that they made to the them like the dash and grill. I saw some of the dashes for sale at IMM but they were expensive.

I like the dash and Mini 1001 grille too, reckon it's the best looking grille & surround on a Mini.

Saw this on flickr a while ago...beautiful pictures of Inno!
