Are these windows suitable for an everyday car under normal conditions?
I noticed a few people were having problems fitting them, so what is the best way of doing it?

I was looking at getting the rear 3 windows, with fixed quarters, and 2 pop out vents fitted in each, posibly tinted.
Could you give me a quote with TMF discount and P+P, for tinted and un-untinted?

Also what is the rough weight saving by fitting these 3? Ive seen you said 18kg, but that included the front windows aswell.

Thanks

Chris

Sorry, we don't do front screens as windscreen wipers would scratch the plastic too much.

The windows are pretty easy to fit. Sides are straight swaps, rear is a little more tricky due to it being flat and having to take the curve by bending it. Start from the corners and it'll go in, it has to be tight otherwise it'll pop out! :P

Pricings for rear 3 are:
Normal price - Clear
£95.98

Normal Price - Bronze tint
£115.98

TMF Discounted Price - Clear
£81.58

TMF Discounted Price - Bronze Tint
£98.58

Then £15 P&P on whichever you chose.

There's no reason why you couldn't use them on an everyday car, just be a bit more careful when cleaning them not to rub grit into them, as this will scratch them. You can't break the windows, so will atleast stop people smashing you windows! Rear 3 anyways!

Generally Polycarb is half the weight of equivalent glass, you won't save 18kg on the rear 3, but still will save yourself a few KG's. The front windows are where you save yourself the most weight, as you can remove the window winders aswell as the glass.

Cheers
Dan

Sorry! Missed that bit.

Pop out vents are £27.99 for a pair, so £55.98 for 4. Fitting is charged at £5 per vent.

Total would be £75.98 for all 4 fitted, TMF Discounted total would be £64.58.

All Pop Out Vents are clear Polycarbonate.

Cheers
Dan

Nope, that's the same tint. All depends on the light when you take the picture, but I'd call it a 'medium' tint.

Cheers

We have got all the windows you would require, but don't do a complete fitting kit. The twin sliding rubber can be bought from Pheonix Supplies at reasonable money, and the chrome sliders are available from most main Mini parts specialists. It won't be a straight bolt on item, the tops of the doors will have to be modified slightly but I can't see it taking too much effort.

The windows we can supply at standard price:

Full kit, all clear 4mm Lexan Polycarbonate = £159.99

TMF 15% Discount, Full Kit = £135.99

+£20 P&P UK Mainland

Total £155.99

Bronze tint is an extra £10 for the rear 1/4's and £10 for the rear window, so an extra £20 in total to have the rear 3 (with TMF discount would be an extra £17).

Hope this helps!

Dan

Hi there mate,

I'm looking for a set of these for my birthday. Just a couple of queries if I may:

a) Are you able to offer the pin system to prevent the windows from being slid back, if so is there an increase in cost.
b) How big is the square hole on the opening ones.
c) Just to make sure on cost I would be after two fronts with the square holes and two rears non opening, and possibly the rear aswell (although I am unsure).

Cheers,

Timbo

Hi Timbo

Sorry for the late reply, don't often look on this post (in other words I keep forgetting about it :)) Just for future reference for everybody, best way to get hold of me is via PM. :P

Anyways, on to the questions...

Yes we can do a small pin on a chain to slot in when the window is closed. Extra £3 per side.

The size of the square hole is 17cm x 15cm (23cm diagonal corner to corner)

And prices (all clear 4mm Lexan Polycarbonate)...

Full kit = £159.99

- 15% = £135.99 (+ £20 P&P)

Door windows and rear quarters = £129.98

- 15% = £110.48 (+ £20 P&P)

Cheers
Dan
