An ass is a donkey shaped creature.
The other spelling refers to your posterior.

I hate people who put l0l and lma0 at the end of every sentence. There's no reason for it!

laughing my ass off rolling on the floor laughing lol I very nearly dislocated my jaw from laughing so much [edit]

--------serious--------

I'd rather be able to read a "lol" or "lma0" as a substitute for a "." than a confuseing row of words :dontgetit: And things like "lol" are very old and sort of part of the internet-language and comonly known and used. Doesn't make it nicer to use them to end any sentence though. My point was rather to keep them "as is" than to replace them with something confusing. 'Cause I myslef don't think this will achive the hoped for "learning effect" (there's always someone new doing it - those who did and got told learned it anyways).

It might teach some of the users on the forum to type properly.

A clear question will be easy to read and understand and will get a faster, clear answer.

I am disappointed you didnt notice sooner Dazzul, as you seem to be no.1 for noticing these things....

Personally I can't see how it's so offensive. It's just shortening what we're saying. Like using an apostrophe or acronyms of which there are hundreds in common usage.

I've always been of the impression that language changes, it evolves. We speak and write differently to Chaucer and Shakespere etc. Why is change wrong all of a sudden?

Who really cares! jesus, its a forum about minis not about how people type, why do people feel the need to make a big deal out of every thing!

Theres more important things going on in the world than some one saying 'lol'

get a grip!
