Just wondering if you would be able to use this stuff on a MPi? As my mate reccommended it to me the other night. But he has a corsa and id rather not risk it if no one knows.

AFAIK there's two types, one for carbs and one for injectors, just get the one suited to your engine.

does it work ok on unleaded engines?? or are you just on about the leaded version?

It's perfectly ok in unleaded engines, even those with cats.

have always used redex in fuel, and occasionally dumped some in the bores & carb - can't swear as to effectiveness in fuel but seems to keep everything going well - burning it off from direct application gets a bit dramatic though the axhaust smoke is awesome - a grey & aromatic version of a completely gone head gasket. :w00t:

last time i tried that the neighbours called the fire brigade out. least i got the car cleaned for free as well!

my dad once took his old diesel citreon for it's MOT and it would of failed on emisions but the mechanic put some 'stuff' in the fuel tank and told my dad to go out and put his foot down. Then when my dad got back he did the emsions test and it passed, I assume that's redex or somthing like it?

air filter off and down the neck, just make sure you set it to fast idle first and don't pour it in too fast :w00t:

How much over what period of time would you pour in?
eg, 1/2 a bottle over 1min?

erm, not that fast :w00t: 1/4 bottle but time varies, if you pour it too fast you'll stall your car, so pour a little bit revs will drop a bit - wait till revs come back up and repeat

edit: oh and has been mentioned before, after treatment bring the revs up (loud pedal not idle adjust) on your car to blow it all through. Make clouds appear and makes a nice screen so no-one can see your car n case of war

I use it all the time. Use the right version for the right car. They do a diesel one that I've used religiously in my Peugeot for instance.
Pour half a bottle into the carb slowly. Obviously the revs die as the air is being starved, so it's useful to have a pal rev it.

Then rev it harder for a bit. Crap comes FLYING out!

If you mean petrol Redex fuel system cleaner, then yes. Just look on the back of the bottle, checked mine and it does have instructions on for carb treatment (against what i said prior)
