I've ordered a half cross member, inner sill and the cross member extension that sits inside the sill. It is totally rust dust! also ordered outer sill just incase. rear Floor pan repair section has also been ordered.

I've also started to remove the old sound deadoning material at the rear, using a hairdryer (plus about 126 x 3amp fuses), old chisel and paint scraper. Took ages just to do the left hand rear pan.

Looks neat tho now it's had a spray over with hammerite, and will save a little weight too.
I was a bit nervous doing this job, but luckily the material was not hiding any rusty surprises!

This is the remains of my cross member extension. It's basically dust.

removed left hand cross member and it revealed that the floor is not too bad. I'm gonna cut this little strip of rust out and make a repair patch out of a rear floor pan, then fit my new cross member extension. Make a patch over inner sill, then fit new x member.

yeah I know.
Just waitng to move to house in April, then the shell will be in a nice insulated garage rather than on a driveway.
This means that I can get on with it come rain or shine!
