can you do me a huge favor if you get chance take a ton of pictures of your car and upload the to photobucket or similar so i can drool and get some more inspiration

I can indeed, it will have to wait until the end of the week as I still have to paint the alternator and work out where the hell im going to mount the oil cooler! lol.

I have no idea about photobucket but I can get my brother to host them on his website and put the links in here, they will be much higher resolution.

Is it just the engine you want to do to yours then?

Right well I got the drive shaft nuts done up, wheels back on, remote change connected, oil cooler plumbed and bolted in (halfway anyway, still gotta drill one more hole), coolant full and tappets adjusted but as I expected the battery was as flat as a pancake so I couldn't start it today

So now the battery is plugged into the charger in the house for the next couple of days then hopefully she will start!

Nah sorry, it was absolutely hammering down with rain most of the day so the car didn't even get out the garage, work looks a little thin on the ground this week as the boss is away, so hopefully I might get a couple of good days work done......fingers crossed! I will let you know when I have them up

I'm currently having trouble starting the car > so the pictures will have to wait, sorry.

Right well I got her working today thanks to a TMFer who had the same problem as I did; turns out the negative terminal on the battery was loose....it's not anymore!!

I just started running it to cure all the paint and then was going to wash it and take a few pictures when I noticed a nice stream of oil coming down my beautifully painted gearbox
Turns out it was from the sandwich plate for the oil cooler take off, the thread inside the socket that screws it onto the block was wonkey so it didn't seal tight enough at the bottom.

I did manage to get a few pictures on my phone but hopefully this weekend will be for productive with the picture taking!
