Need to sell my mini and have no idea how much to advertise it for, so let me know what you think.

1978 Mayfair shell deseamed completely rust free and sprayed gloss black, has carbon fibre mirrors and currently 12" standard steel wheels.

Has a 1275 (high compression 12HD engine number from allergro or metro i think, not sure if they're better engines or not).

It has brand new spraco bucket seats and harnesses, STIG dash, savage switches, mountney wheel, alloy door handles etc. and thats about it inside. No carpets

Custom alloy fuel tank in the boot.

Tax and MOT till August 2010.

in its current condition (not road legal) i would say £1000 tops.

de-seaming seriously affects the price (imho)

No number plates or fuel tank or tax disc.

Looks nice. Could fetch quite a bit more with MOT and tax.

I assume the pictures are not current, as it missing quite a few of the essentials required for it to be "on the road"...

Can we have some current pictures please ?

No number plates or fuel tank or tax disc.

it has brand new plastic number plates as the old alumnium type have been replaced, an 8 gallon fuel tank and MOT and tax till august 2010.

I assume the pictures are not current, as it missing quite a few of the essentials required for it to be "on the road"...

Can we have some current pictures please ?

whats parts are missing for it to be "on the road" as i have been driving it for about 2 months?

Is there a plug in the hole where the fuel filler used to be?
I think due to the fact that the car hasn't got a grille, number plates and has a hole where the filler cap used to be it just seems like it's off the road.
I think if you put a grille on it you would get more money for it, it just looks tidier.
It also looks like there are no dials inside the car.
Were the photos taken whilst you were doing it up?

there isnt a plug currently but i planned to fit the neck of a battered old tank and just fit a dummy cap.

will a grille make that much difference? it has the 3 clock dials.

yes these are not current pictures, i will get some current ones this afternoon.

I personally don't mind driving my mini around without a grille, but from a buyers point of view, it kinda doesn't look finished.
Maybe even just chuck one on there for pictures and say that the grille isnt included?
Dummy cap is definately a good idea.

Looks nice, paint seems good.. I think £1500ish without an interior...? As Slyfox says, de-seaming unfortunately devalues a car, due to the fact it's nigh-on impossible to return it back to how it should be.

Get some nicer wheels for it and it would looks so much better. A set of 12x5 or x6 wheels and a set of subtle arches would put the saleability of that car up so much!

id be well happy to part with £1500 if i had that sort of money, a lot of cars that you buy are not exactly how you would want them, so i dont think the extra few things to do would bother a lot of people, certainly not me.

i reckon if you spend a little more time and a tad few pennies on it then youd fetch a lot more tho, so spending £100 on a carpet set would add probably more than £100 to the price of the car etc
