im having troubble with my filter heater now . ive got the vamx filter . and it still ices . so i moved the heater closer to the mouth of the carb . same thing . i dont know what the hell im going to do ,,crap design .i was tanking chunks of ice off the pipe . not just dew on it

Is this on the outside?
Mine dose the same when its cold, but still runs ok.

Since we're doing prehistoric thread revival, how about using a radiative heat source, like a halogen bulb, focused down the throat at the throttle? Black ceramic coating too?

I have my carb manifold wrapped in copper and a heater in the air filter, this still froze up after 50miles. Cant wait for the blow through set up.

I got fed up with the carb icing and flooding at tick over so i got drastic lol

Yeah it runs much better and because it doesn't have to run super rich to get up the pipe anymore it's loads better on fuel :)

had mine on the dyno last week and only got 92 at the wheels . wanted more

It's a minisport fast road/rally but to be honest if I did it again I would go standard for more round town drivability :)
