Can't wait, the 800 miles will be a nice warmup for the 1500 miles on the IMM. Just thinking of window stickers and what to put in my rear window? I usually have Riv Run 20xx then something else. My first Riv Run was 1997. Jeez that makes me feel old!

guys, in a bit of a dilema.

this is my eigth year attending newquay, apart from the two years that we came down in my wifes MPI every other time one way of another we have had car problems, generally temperature related.

Im intending on coming down in my trusty mini van, which is my every day transport. engine has been in for atleast 10 months, and this one seems strong. however, i did the mk classic yesterday (thraping round race tracks) and although I didnt have any temperature problems, when i inspected the rad fluid this morning, it was like chcolate milk...

i dont appear to have lost any water, but the water has definately turned browny and a bit froffy.

ive done compression test, 165 on all four, and oil on dipstick seems like oil (that hasnt gone brown).

so... do you guys think i have head gasket issues? or not?

the ultimate question... do I risk another year on a recovery truck, or just accept newquay is too much for the old van and come in the wifes bini?

matt

it sounds normal really, i take it, it still has the consistancy of water? sounds like the waters just picked up sediment in the system, not sure about the throthing but i have noticing it before on previous engines and they have been fine. if your still concerned drain the coolent and flush the cooling system with plenty of water, will still turn brown inthe future but might slow it from changing right away

on a side note :) eeeh yaay!! not long to go!!
