Thank you everyone for the replies
Since I fitted the seat extensions, my seats down click down. I can tip them forward without using the bar on the side of the seat. I am not sure if this bar even worked without the seat extensions. I might take them off tomorrow and have a play around.
I will drill some more holes and add the new nuts.
I was just wondering how everyone else's seats worked!! When I tip mine up I just have to push them, not using the side button on the seat. Is this normal? They slide backwards and forwards fine, just that they don't seem to click down??
If anyone has any pictures of how their seats sit I would be very greatfull to see them. My seats jsut sit on the floor with the two black bars. Rounded in shape!!

Thanks for all the help :)

Have you used 'nylock' nuts to stop them vibrating undone?

I have no idea!! Dad fitted them for me as I was busy. They came in the packet when I bought them from Mini Sport. My dad did mention something about getting some of those I think ...

I would like to keep them in for the room, but it's just the mot I am worried about.

This is a nylock nut

The strip of blue in the end is the nylon which stops it from vibrating loose.

If you are still worried I would drill another hole in the brackets so you can fit 2 bolts through the origional seat mounting holes to stop them trying to twist. The seats should still then be able to tilt because there is only 1 bolt through the bottom of the seat and the bracket.

Hope this helps!!

Thank you :) I will have to get some of these, I am forver tightening them up!!

Just take the extended mounts OFF for the MOT! Simples.

Will do, probably a lot easier
I'll let you all know how I get on. I hope they still click down without the extensions! I can't remeber hahaha :)
