After 6 hours, 2 pairs of shoes and 1 big slip it's finally out !







My sister enjoying steering the car whilst the boys get messy !!!

Started to loose light at 4.20/30

Mot was booked in for 5 ! Cutting it close



Was well excited got it on the drive and Started to
Drive towards my mot, only to run out of fuel at the end of my drive a whole 25 yards ! So ran got fuel and came back, went to go for the second time, and I turned on the ignition and the car started to rev itself, so turned it off very quick, turns out that the choke arms had jumped out and wedged open!

But all sorted now, now I just need to wait for my day off to go and get a mot !

I drove it for the first time today! And can I say what a growl ! The steering wheel is lovely the seats are properly huggable ! Kept the revs below 3k and used all the gears until i lost use of the clutch after the mot



The MOT ! It did fail, on a couple of things,
Main ones were osf track rod rubber has perished and that the headlights aim were off so easy fixes !

It had a proper little grumble at about 2300/2500 revs and has loads of torque for a higher hp cam


At the mot testing station, had to be decelormeter test as the 10's were too small and would have hit the sump, I did notice a small oil leak aswell, I am hoping it was from the rocker cover and not the tapper chest covers, as that is going to be a mission I have tightened up the rocker cover and hope that does the trick,

I found a few nuts that weren't up tight, we tightened them an then it felt a lot better driving on the way home,

The suspension needs to be raised up about 10mm all the way round as it was a bit knocky on the way home !

Why does the rear exhaust hanger look wrong?
Do they have to be fit differently on the pick-up?

This is the correct anger just modified to allow the exhaust to be tucked higher

Just door cards and door checks left for the interior !






Socks being removed after hearing about recent fires with them,

Also the idle has been cured one of the dash pots wasn't moving freely, so have spun the pot aroun 180 degrees and it's perfect, engine feels a lot smoother and doesn't Hunt anymore, can't believe how quick it pics up and drops revs !


I have a meeting with a certain someone tommorow from somewhere rather special ! A new clutch arm is needed and also new fan after the spanner fan inncedient..... We still do not talk about that to this day DO WE PEOPLE !!!! so jobs for tommorow remove and replace clutch arm fit new fan, so removal of rad, fan, may aswell plug in speedo drive and get it to Work ! Then off to mot if I have enough time .......

Looking blummin marvellous though, I all so can't wait for the first drive day in the van.
