so after Bingley I had compelted my running in miles, I did a oil and filter change, and have run the car for another 100-120 miles, and now I am happy to say I took it for a blast
https://www.facebook...527853841471096
the video above I was still running it in but using 3/4 throttle and to about 4000/4500 rpm
no that it is run in I took it for a proper blast 2 nights ago with my cousin and took the revs right up the and it pulled strongly all the way to 6800 however a top mount for the rad decided to become more lightweight an loose a bolt, which in turn hit then fan. That moment u push a newly run engine and It decides the radiator bracket wants to loose a bolt, at 6800rpm scary ! Bolt + fast spinning fan = Big Bang! No damage just scared the **** outta me then limped it home, felt strong and had more to give....... im hoping to finish the repairs and go for a rolling road session hoping to see upwards of 80hp
prior to this video I have done a limited rolling road, when we did the tune correct, so far at 1/2 throttle and limited to 4000 revs and we saw 46 hp so looking promising,
I also want to thank you all, even though the car is not finished the constant support and advice from everyone on the forum has been amazing, keeping me enthused to keep going out in the cold and wet and get the little bugga finished
its still not finished yet but very close, gotta get it finished for the feature ......
updates soon

its turned out great well done too you just a few quick questions though
1. when i see it at the show i noticed you had sprayed the rea load area with some sort of non slip paint, whatmake was it
2. i also noticed your not running a headlining any reason for this as im not sure whether to use the one i have for my pickup
cheers Dan

dan, the rear boot liner was a tintable boot liner, http://www.waxoyltre...CFSccwwodKzkAhg
there isn't a reason why im not accept the one I had got thrown away and difficult to get hold of but I quite like it
Got the new fan installed today and installed correct way around. fitted the heater cable pinch nipple, also the filter king, and had to fix the passenger seat as it for some reason wuld not lock in. so a good couple of jobs done today and just sitting down and watching the rugby !

yeah they are difficult t get hol of so even better when i paid £10.50 for one last month and for the tintablr liner did you spray it yourself or get the company to do it
Posted 09 February 2014 - 05:58 PM
the people who painted the body sprayed it on for me ! but lots of videos to be able to spray it on

Looking good! I am fitting the same speedo and rev counter combo as you. I still need to get a few bits but what I want to know if did you get any pics of how that all went together and also what sort of dash liner to I need to go with it? I dunno if I just get the small circle hole or the larger oval hole.
Thanks.
