Frozo,

I decided to include the Stage 1 exhaust. I was going to keep it but I am going with stainless duals on Dexter so Freck is coming with the LCB and a good back box. It's a little tatty looking but a good sanding and a lick of heat resistant paint and BAM! Clean stage 1 exhaust for free!

you serious?

Thanks! :)

Yeppers! You can actually see it in one of the pictures. I haven't taken it off yet as I was debating about using it but my plans have changed so it's staying on for you.

Thanks!, wow i really cant wait now. only 7 days

aha, love my avatar name. or what ever you call it.

Edit: I'll have to become a TMF+ member soon

I wish my introduction into the world of minis was so flipping brilliant. Congratulations Frozo, Trail of Dead - hats off to you, it's an incredibly kind thing to do, there are not many people at all nowadays who'd do such a nice gesture.

Lol, thanks guys. Really though....when I was 16 I would have keeled over in excitement if someone would have given me one of my dreamcars....even if it was a project. I simply had this Mini sitting around, only have 2 years left here in England, would hate to see it go to the scrappy (that ALWAYS makes me  ), and would LOVE to see it be restored! Basically I saw another member in need and had the means to help! I'm not always in that position so once I realized I was I jumped at the chance to help. I just want Frozo to understand Freck needs some welding done, lots of it. Not as much as Spudnik, but he is a pretty big project in his own right. As he sits he's probably worth 200 quid, I tried to sell him locally for a few months but got no real interest. So the next best thing is to let a fellow enthusiast have a crack at repairing him!

I too look forward to the rebuild thread! Stock up on welding gas and MIG wire! Take your time and do it right the first time....and in your thread be sure to ask questions if you get hung up somewhere, I'm sure I speak for us all when I say "we love seeing a Mini come together!" :)

You could always put a post in the regional sections to see if you can get any local TMFers to help Frozo, they might even teach you how to weld :)

My wife is USAF, we are stationed here in the UK for 4 years total. We've done two already so have another 2 left. We are hoping to get stationed in Florida after this as we were stationed in Southern Georgia before this....got spoiled by all the Sun! :)

You are pretty close to Shiftyseamus so if you & your Dad run into trouble I'm sure Shifty can help you out! He has already been "briefed" on Freck's condition.
