Loving all the guesses 
I didn't go look at "it" because the guy wanted too much for it, but because I didn't ring him back, he phoned me and agreed to what I was offering! Fingers crossed it's not another rotter!
But he needs to get 2 small jobs done on it, and he is doing those next week so I'm going there next weekend. Eep!

Fanks Kam! I'm chuffed with it Especially as it's first journey was over 2 hours driving home. Nicely done, and it used less petrol than the 205 too
Unfortunately the boot is covered with a HIDEOUS speaker-filled parcel shelf, going to have to change that, it's embarrassing
I want to raise it up at the back too, it's far too low, the wheels have started to disappear into the arches, and the bump outside the house is too much for it
