Please let us know how and when you want the final payments by and to.
Couple of stupid questions
If the superbike WC is on the weekend that we go (which it is) i take it we cant go round the ring on sat and sun. But do we get free entry to watch them?
How do we pay for our laps c/c when we get there or what?

thanks :)

I'm guessing the superbike event is on at the GP track not on the nordschleife. and I'm also guessing there is a ticket machine somewhere there.

Superbikes are on the GP circuit, it does mean there are alot of bikers about over the weekend but the ring is relatively quiet while the racing is on over the road :)

You buy tickets from a booth at the entrance, you get a Ring Card which you "top up" with however many laps you want (slightly cheaper if you buy multiple laps at once) then you hold your card infront of the machine at the barrier to go through. They have specific lanes for RHD cars, or you have to hand your ticket across the car to someone if you go through a LHD lane

Final payment details are in the pinned "official run thread".

We're still waiting for info about the static caravans as a couple of runners have asked if that's a possibility- the response hasn't been that positive so far, but we'll keep pestering them for an answer.

We have 29 official runners this year. The ferry places ate booked and paid for and I will be emailing reference codes soon. We may still be able to take in more runners if anyone is still thinking about coming, but prices may change a tiny amount. The closer we get to departure, the more the ferry fare will increase.

Yeah, I'm not convinced it's recession related.

to be honest, I think this year will be great. We've got less people going, but I think that'll make it less "groupy" than last year. I'm hoping to certainly get more socialising in this year. There were a few people that I hardly had chance to talk to with the 90+ people there. We'll all be in one field, we'll all fit around one camp fire. I reckon it'll be a great laugh.

I think we peaked last year. But remember how many cars weren't really retro at all. We've also got more minis going this year, which is great.

I think the IMM being in Bavaria is what's really causing the lower numbers. People are heading out to Germany for that. Maybe they're planning a 'ring trip at the same time?

Whatever the reason is, we've still got 30+ people convoying to the ring together. It'll be ace to see all the old faces, plus some new ones.

I'm planning on being a passenger in as many cars as possible too, so look out!

Oh yeah, remember to take something English for our good man Barnett, without whom none of this would be happening! ;)

Leigh: you're ace, mate!

True i guess. But its gotta have something to do with it, as a few people on clubpolo said they cant come due to being made redundant..

But yes, all being in one field will be cool.
As for being passenger, i don't mind taking you out on one of my runs

You can come out in the Goodwood Matt :D

It's a good job German roads are so smooth, I've got pretty much no suspension at the moment  :D

Hopefully will have it raised well before we go though! I'll break me back by then! :-

What pug you got David? :)

There's nothing actually wrong with mine, previous owner just wanted to ride it low :D It needs raising massively, it's pretty much on the bumpstops so I keep catching the exhaust on things, and there's no give when you hit a bump ;)

Last year turned into a free-for-all so numbers where always gonna be high in both cars and people

Didnt feel like a retro run atall just like another pistonhead run, or max power run as I like to call it, I would rather have 20 retro cars camped up then 50+ anythings

Was still an awesome trip, nothing will change that

You should've been in mine through Belgium. we actually hit the roof several times. You get used to it though lol.
