That picture was linked from here http://www.austin-ro...ineaseriesf.htm The pic on the left was the experimental replacement for the A series and the one on the right is an experimental A series with and overhead cam. It most defo looks like an A series what with the gearbox and flywheel arangement. Don't know where the Meastro comes into itThere's nothing experimental about that block matey, it's the A+ Maestro block I think. Having said that the alternator mounting doesn't look like an A+ one, it's been a while since I saw a Meastro to compare it to.
It's a great shame they only ever cast three or four of those heads though. I saw one on a car once, I'm sure it was at MITP. Really very cool (well it is without the silly emissions air pump stuck on it anyhow).

The only original official overhead cam head fitted to an engine in a car and running is owned by the chap that owns Huddersfield Mini Spares. was speaking to him about my project and he let me have a quick look at the cam drive set up, with a promise that I can go back with a camera for some pictures for my referance. The engine was a very neat package but said that power figures were not much different to that of a standard set up with the basic head mods. Its still an seven porter and not cross flow which is what is probibly holding it back

Some low spec Meastro's and the Meastro van ran the A+ engine and box, with that block, a normal head and an electronic Hif carburettor with some kind of digital electronic choke device fitted. The gearbox was in the conventional place though rather than in the sump.
The one on the left was to be called the S series or something wasn't it? I think that was the engine that 9X was supposed to have.

Have made some more to different dimensions as per guessworks design.
He took one on sunday to try & verdict was that it is better than original design
I should have a batch of 15-20 made for the weekend (guessworks has a friend who might be interested in a bulk buy , but if anyone who is going to Bingley wants one please get in touch & we can arrange to meet there
Cheers

Does anyone know if these are still made? Or, if diagrams are available I can make one up? Does the adapter fit bog standard engine stands as per machine mart? It looks like the pics are not on thread so I can't tell...sorry....
Thanks in advance

There's one on Guess-Work's site : http://www.guess-wor...play.htm?id=301
I guess (ho ho!) that might have been one of the designs from the pics we can't see anymore?
