I went for the coolant line partially inside to be on the safe side .
I might be the slowest builder on here ,but here is what i am working on right now :

Raised gear lever ,home made and hand made ,
Still need to finish for the cable end fixing part .

Very nice, and looking good. I saw an after eight with a genuine gold roof at the London motorshow in 2008 -_-

Looking great, love the wheel choice.
Only just found this project, is there any update on the build?

Heres how I did mine, it removes the adaptor as used by Zcars - food for thought.

I ordered a throttle cable 750mm longer than the standard unit from Zcars and fed the pedal side up to where is shown in the photos below and you can see that when it came into the cabin of the car it was in line with the connection at the top of the pedal (you can just see the wire and the rose joint connector in the picture at the bottom:

By the way good to see your back on the build, I did wonder what had happened to the build...

Thank you Cptkirk you are always so helpfull :)

So from the yellow arrow the cable make a "U" turn and goes back to the engine ?
There is not too much friction from the bend ?

One trouble i got , is that the volvo throttle body seem to need a lot of pulling to fully open , and i cant match it on the pedal movement if you understand what i mean .

I think i need a long top part of the pedal to have enough pulling movement .

You need to work out the linear movement of the cable in respect to going from closed to wide open throttle, then when designing your pedal you need to make the arc taken by the cable connector travel the same amount. I am going to guess and say that the linear movement is no greater then 50mm, it wont be hard to make this movement in an arc. Good Luck...

Cptkirk , i cant do what you advised for the throttle cable , because i have the fuel tank in the way , my build is left hand drive , so my gas pedal is almost in the middle of the car .

Its really difficult to find how to do do it , it have stopped me for quite a long time now .

Just an idea, but can't you weld a tube in the tank and pass the cable straight through? If its done well it would look good but understand its not the ideal for everyone.

I have got to do something along these lines now! As I have made a larger stainless fuel tank to sit upfront but it's blocking my anti roll bar off, did some drawings on the computer and it actually looks really good!!
Glad I could help. All the best with the build.

I made my own floor mounted throttle peddle.  I used steel brake line for the housing and regular throttle cable for the cable.  Don't know whay it wouldn't work for you.
