Process has been slow as usual because I spent a lot of time figuring out the braking system. I'm waiting for a big order from Somerford, we'll see how everything fits together.

Meanwhile, I refreshed the clutch master cylinder. Will buy the repair kit for it.

Wiring loom is cleaned from all the oil and dirt! It's damaged at some places but not too bad. I began to put it in place by looking at my old pictures that I took when I disconnected everything

Are you not going to use a plate to seal the bulkhead behind the instruments?
Just needs a hole for the speedo cable and stops some of the crap/water from the engine bay getting into the back of your gauges.

No idea, never gave much thought about them. I never got the chance to look at a Mini in details besides mine. (They are quite rare here)

That's interesting, and it looks good, too. Where can I find this part?

I think most later cars with gauges in front of the driver had them

While I'm rerouting the harness, I'm figuring what goes where, it's a pretty fun game. Windshield washer system is back in.

The horn is repainted and sits proudly at its place.

I honestly wouldn't bother restoring with the repair kit. I did both my clutch and brake cylinder with the repair kit only to find them leaky. ended up buying new. Considering the repair kit is 60% the cost of replacement master brake and clutch cylinders its false economy. Just my two cents.

Love the updates keep them coming

Reinstalled the plate for the top engine mount and the heater hoses, but not before a bit of cleaning...
