love it, looks great. I was just wondering why you have a white number plate on the front and black on the back.

Thanks for the comments, i'm quite chuffed with it, i do have plans to put it on 10" wheels, but all depends on when i get some spare cash, as i've spent too much on it as it is, and the mrs will kill me if i spend any more at the moment!! but yes, it'll look great with 10" minilites, these are minilfe 12" wheels, these will one day go up for sale to fund the more retro look! was looking at the minispares 10" wheel conversion kit, so will have to keep topping up that piggybank!!

Im looking at the minispares 10" brake conversion kit too as I want 10's, looks pretty good for the money.

You should def take this mini to a few shows this year, people will love that mini!

I love this!! If it wasn't for the number plate you'd have fooled me into thinking it was actually really really old!

Good work! I love it loads!!

Thanks for the comments!! makes me feel all the tinkering in my garage over the winter months made it all worthwhile, got my ticket for the L2B last week, my first time on doing this, so pretty excited on going :P :) looking forward to that, and i'm also going to take a run over to Brooklands in a couple of weeks also, as i don't get the mini out and about as much as i like!! so it will be good to give it an airing.

Concerning the white bonnet number plate on the front, i put that one on myself, but made a little bit of a bodge up, so i'm getting a guy that works just around the corner from me to put a better one on for me, but just don't know wether to have a modern "proper-legal" one put on as in my pictures, or more of a retro white numbers on black??? I prefer the retro number plate on the back, but i suppose i'm still a little paranoid about having it on there, as if i do get a tug by the old bill, i can change the rear one quite easy, but not so easy for the stick on one on the front, what do you all reckon???
And yup, would look so much better sitting on 10"s also going to get a MK1/2 bootlid on too, but thats when i get some spare cash!!

if i was you id keep a road legal numberplate inside the car, i keep mine under the rear seat cushion. then if you get pulled over just give go ' oh golly, sorry officer, its the first time its been out since the mini show, i must have forgotten to put it back on!'

hahaha

i noticed you've got those works style jacking things, do you jack the car up on them or they just for show?

Hello, Well, i got the number plates in the boot just in case, as you never know?? the quick-lift jacking plates are all bolted in, so could be used, but really just for show! Just like the ole retro rally look, so i had to have them on there :-
