after a couple of months break from working on vini i found enough time to get out in the drive and carry on with the strip down.both arches have now been tubbed and back end has been stripped to bare metal prepped and primered.still havent decided on a colour yet O_O Dean

inner sill all cleaned up ready for etch primer to go on then new outer sill.

a big thanks goes out to the missis for letting me use the kitchen table today to fit the hydraulic thrust bearing.i can now bolt the box up to the engine,cooool :gimme: Dean

Glad youve sorted the hydro conversion out, i didnt get chance to check the part number for you! Mine feels great so youve made a good decision there mate,
Keep it up,well have to catch up once its all done now mines finished!

Also are you keeping the boot floor or going lightweight? i wish id just gone with a flat peice of carbon rather than the one iv got now as its a nuisance with fitting a straight through exhaust as you have to mount the backbox to the side and the fuel pump too! Got round it in the end literally but id say its a good mod to do, less to rust too

hydro clutch just seemed the easier option rather than using the cable setup and that horrible looking allspeed cable linkage i was using.just hope the new thrust bearing can cope with the extra pressure of the competion clutch.
wasnt originally planning on going down the alley tank route but the more i get in too the build more im thinking about doing it lol.well,,in for a penny in for a pound lol.Dean

update just for you Ben,finished o/s inner sill so thought i would crack on stripping paint and underseal from inner wing area and guess what i found lol. rot,rot and more rot.thats next weekends job O_O Dean
