cut out the rust in the boot of my 1995 mini cooper ready for the repair panel to be welded in also finishe grinding the welds off where we had welded the o/s side panel on

a lot of welding done on HUY's footwell

Changed the Master cylinder bracket as it was broke where the engine steady bolts on to and the engine was knocking and also welded the lower part of the engine steady bracket back on as that broke off too. No more engine knocking now

I also replaced the clutch slave cylinder as it was knackered and it was leaking due to it being covered in clutch fluid and I needed to bleed my clutch every 3 weeks.

Changed the rear view mirror from the standard one to a shiny chrome look one

Ground down the throttle "stop" a bit, to get the butterfly to open a bit more on my Mpi..didnt go to far as I dont want it to go past the pont of no return, runs nice and makes a sweet deep rasp with my airbox mod when I plant me foot

Dropped minimi off to the fixers to get the ball joints and engine mounts replaced

Got mine through an MOT (woo!) .. Well, the bloke in the garage did, I just sat at work sweating

After about 45 hours prep work its ready for some primer, slowly but surely getting there !

Thought about getting it out and changing the engine and box but decided to put a seat, change the diff and engine in my lightning rod. Will finish the lightning rod tomorrow then start on the mini soon

Got my paint sorted (iron grey with a black roof and arches). So now starts the body prep.
Oh and I will be rollering the paint like quite a few on the forum.

Spent £3000 in part needed for the rebuild, in less than 5 days. Gonna be - £10k+ build at this rate
