I took my Elsie out to see some other lovely cars - the local 2CV club had their 15th anniversary (and overall 65th 2CV birthday) meeting, so there was a lot of beautiful rusty metal to look at

Done up all the bolts the "garage" left loose, including angine mounts, tie bars to lower arm engine steadies (changed the bottom bush's whilst i was at it)
by the way the garage is Axminster autos in Bexleyheath, the ones that swore they done up all 3 thermostat bolts (that all 3 were loose and dumped my coolant a few weeks ago)

Give it a quick wash and then dropped all the coolant, put it back in the garage and have dropped the oil out of it, going to start stripping the engine down tomorrow.

jacked up each corner and removed wheels and jet washed thoroughly to inspect whats going on under there... pleasantly surprised with it to be honest. Only one welded plate and all the original paint is still there under layers of crap.
so its only both A panels, windscreen scuttle, both front wings, front valance, passenger door, driver door sill, drivers floorpan, rear valance and boot that will need replacing due to rust.
i think i may have to rethink where my money is going this winter!!!
