Pricey shipping to your end of the world?

 

I ordered a stage one kit and a seat diaphragm and lots of little studs and nuts etc, the freight quote was about 80 pounds. It's still cheaper than buying from the local mini shops, and they don't always have the same range of parts as the UK...

Auto darkening welding helmet arrived today- so, inspired by this, I had my first proper go at welding with Mig! Jeez! what a difference it makes. I advise any novice welders to get one- makes it sooo much easier!

(I had a brief go prior to this with a normal helmet welding helmet and I all I could do was blow holes in the body!)

here we go- hopefully should make some progress now

Fitted a new battery and now the electrics work and it doesn't die, touch wood it will stay like this.

Put the exhaust back on, put the bumper back on and put the grill back on. Still missing door cards, but she is back on the road. Both 'modern' cars are out of action, and although I had to change my plans for now, the Mini is back on the road meaning I don't have to cycle to work tomorrow!

Wired up my eluminated clocks faces up, after having to severely mod them to fit.On the box says for 99 mini, but the fuel/temp gauge is different on my 91.Right pain.
