Wash and polish at like 7am, before it got too hot and melted everything. Oddly felt like I was about to go on the l2b event like the old days! Ran well with no issues.

Too hot to work on cars. I went out for a drive in my 1968 Sunbeam Alpine with the roof down - wonderful!

Finally got round to working on the car after spending a few weekends in Devon, fitted the steering column and the T7 heater, left the indicator stalk on the left hand side just to hack off the rivet counters, had my first snap off when the throttle cable ferrule attached to the body came away, no biggy as I'll knock a new one up on my lathe.

Changed brake pads after someone told me my brakes were terrible - hard, dead pedal. Night and day! Bites and stops! Replaced what were ‘semi- metallic’ with AP standard.

Fitted a replacement clubman front fresh air intake kit available on the Bay item no 147427292768. Very impressed with the quality and all fitted very easily and a very robust bit of kit including clips and flexible piping and very good seals.

I had the nearside missing when I got my clubman, took me a year to find one
