I thought I detected a tappety tappet so checked them. Used the method suggested on here about lifting one front wheel off the ground to turn the engine over - worked great :D  Then got the Cif on the sunroof lining as the wife noticed my grubby hand prints all over it :shy: - nice and clean now.

Suffering from a bad case of 'Mini Back' now after bending over under the bonnet, I'm sure a few beers will lubricate it back to health.

Changed the hydraulic brake light switch and then bled the front brakes.

Now Ive got brake lights that work when you just press the brake pedal, not try to stamp it through the bulkhead!

(I actually bought a switch last August and didnt get round to fitting it. Remembered about it about 4 weeks ago and put the switch "somewhere safe", so obviously I couldnt bloody find it and had to buy another one. The original will obviously turn up tomorrow)

I was wrong, It didnt turn up until today...... >_<

Cleaned & polished the paintwork on the front panel, seeing as though the front grille is off at the moment.
Waiting for new distributor & ignition parts.

Dad managed to get the hub off the radius arm after the return home from beauleiu fault, now need a new bearing, hub, radius arm and new nut :xxx:. I think it was a faulty bearing from minispares as some rollers were mangled and one had a flat on it. The cars only done around 300 miles since the rebuild

After driving the car again after a five year break I decided I didn't like the the steering column drop bracket, so I took it back off :-)

Also fitted an old Kenwood head unit - crikey the old speakers are crap :shy:
