Spent a nice chunk of money at Calver ST, Keith is an incredibly nice bloke to deal with, would highly recommend.

I've got to agree, I don't live very far from him, if I call in he's always extremely busy but makes time and he's always helpful.

Indeed, I got further with him in deciding what I want and what is best for what i'm doing in an hour than I did in 2 weeks from other places. That alone tipped the scales in making me purchase from him, that and the quality of his work.

Excellent :D

I fitted new tie bar bushes. Aren't them little pinch bolts a swine to move, but they do respond to a good dose of blow torch ;-)

Managed to loose the tool for getting the locking wheel nuts off, I only had it the other day and the cars not moved out of the garage :shy: Spent ages looking for it and yes I checked the door pockets too. Had to devise a method of getting them off with out damaging them and it worked :D . Probably find the flipping thing tomorrow :shy:

I replaced mine last week in preparation for the MOT. Same problem, different solution, I put the ball joint splitter on them.

Flasher unit stopped working the other day so had it to bits and it was full of water O_O Dried it out and it sort of worked but noticed the in-line fuse that fed it was getting very hot. So today fitted new flasher unit and replaced the old fuse holder with a nice new blade type, no more hot fuse and lots of flashy flashy. I've got a few more so I'll do the other three at some point.

The car emerged from the garage after almost two weeks to see what difference the radius arm and tie bar repairs had - it was good :D  Before I did the jobs the handling was weird, constant slight corrections of the steering wheel on bends see-sawing my way round as the back end was trying to steer as well - and that was with only very slight play in the radius arm bearing. Now - go cart again :proud:

Not today, but last time I touched my car, we drove it about East London for the night! Was so cool having all the attention and being able to see some sights in my lil car, and it was honestly such a reflective drive, because, aside from the never ending line of approaching speed bumps, it was exactly how I imagined I'd spend my late nights with my car. It was pretty perfect.

Mot yesterday and passed, washed it, dried it and let the sun and wind do its bit then pooped the cover on for the first time today.
Need to lay up properly for winter in the next week or so, luckily its in a nice dry double garage with some airflow under the doors.

Clutch Master Cylinder replacement.

Nightmare job getting the clevis pin out. Followed the advice on here and used an R clip rather than a split pin again. Bled the system and feels great. Test drive tomorrow.

I topped up the tank before setting off on a long run and topped it up again when I returned. I checked the mileage on the sat nav and it was 205 miles, (nearly all motorway), and sat it at a min 3500 revs. It has 13 inch wheels and a 3.1 diff so that's 70 mph. It took 21 litres to fill it up so I reckon in old money thats about 44 mpg. For a 7 port 1342cc I'm more than happy.

Must be a typo, 10 litres is just over 2 gallons, thats nearer 100 mpg.
How's the oil pressure/head gasket issue going?
