Got towed back home. Had to call the old man because the wife's MR2 doesn't have a rear towing eye.

ACR4 says cam sensor is duff. No biggy.

Mini can now be move to the back garden. Just need some help lifting her. Probably 4 people will do.

Whole front end is getting replaced anyway. Inner wings are good. No surprise this bit under the grille rusted though. Filler and foil was a repair done at some point.

Took my Mini (and wife) for a nice little drive to Hastings ( about 60 miles ) and managed to run out of petrol about half a mile from the petrol station I was aiming for, my wife said the car was to heavy to push on her own, so I had to walk to the petrol station purchase a petrol can and petrol.

Its the 1st time in the many years of driving that I have run out of petrol.

The reason I was heading for the one particular station was because I had a £3 voucher, the petrol can cost me £5.99. :shy:

Replacement voltmeter arrived last week, so wired that in this afternoon.
All working with a steady 14 volts when the engine is running.

Managed to find out the reason for the interior light not working, a faulty hazard flasher unit had blown the shared fuse, new flasher unit and spare fuses ordered.

Got sick of the standard oil feed pipe leaking at the filter housing.
Tried tightening the nut but it wouldn’t budge.
So ordered a KAD billet filter housing & braided feed pipe! :)

Fitted the DSN non leak timing cover.
Very easy to fit, and looks the business.

Put all my cooling system back together tonight, refitted the exhaust, sorted the electric fan wiring.
Just need to refit the dash and wire the gauges.
Good to go.
