Finally took my little girl to school in it :)   She giggled all the way!

Ha! What a coincidence, I took my daughter to school in our Elf for the first time today as well - she loved it!

Well I decided to tackle the front cones and fit front and rear Hi Lows -

O/S - rear cone wouldn't release and trumpet was welded - So cut the trumpet and cone! New hi low fitted ( with old cone from front)

O/S - Front cone was knackered - every nut bolt and screw decided to play silly beggars! but changed to Hi Lows, new cone, new lower arm bushes, radius arm bushes, grease nipples and new shocks - all very well greased and copper slipped!

Just the N/S to have a go at within this week (hopefully)

Oh and need to rebuild the ball joints as done them a few weeks ago and FAILED miserably

But after loosing skin on every knuckle and being covered in grease for a whole day I really enjoyed the progress  :gimme:

Got the 1990 Cooper rally car ready for final top coats of paint. Hope to complete the basic painting tomorrow, then it will just need a nib-back and very thin final coat before cutting and polishing.

No1 Mini (1275GT) out of winter hibernation, check over, replaced dodgy starter solenoid and ready for Beaulieu next week.

No2 Mini resto almost there - ‘just’ needs engine and gearbox. Gearbox ready and waiting, engine should be back in a week or so.

Oh, and cleaned up the workshop (at last)!

Just need Liverpool to win tonight now.

Think the 1275GT used to be owned by Barry. Met him at Stamford Hall two years ago. He was there in it (it was up for sale then). Was so tempted to buy it as a 1275GT {albeit a very rotten one} was my introduction to Mini's back when I was 20/21. But awaiting to find one similar to my old one {black with gold decals}. Hope you're enjoying it ?

Correct! I got it last April......for the same reasons you are looking for one. My first decent car was a 1972 1275GT which I did 70k miles with and handed it down to my brother. Always wanted another - it’s lovely! The Registrar of the Cooper S Mk3 Register is another previous owner I believe.
