The kit is very comprehensive, everything you need.
Just waiting on my head to return from a valve grind.

New stainless wipers on in the nick of time as it chucked it down on the drive out. Luckily we soon found the sunshine - so happy with the little £70 ebay find 850 engine singing away, its never run so well ?

Decided we just can't part with our mini! instead I'm going to put up our lovely mr2 for sale I know it might not make sense giving up a reliable Japanese motor but Minis aren't about making sense are they?!

More repairs to the sides of the bulkhead panel, bit more tinkering and I should be able to put the new cross member on.

Welded in new bulkhead cross member and relay bracket, hit my head far too many times whilst clambering about over the bracing I've got inside the car, feeling somewhat battered! :X

Only brought it yesterday so the only job I have done is to remove the number plates.

Started my first porting attempt on a 4-stroke (having done a lot of 2-strokes succesfully in the past).
The Mini's cast head is a :xxx:  to machine, despite my tungsten carbide bur bits  >:(

by the way: base is a 12G940 11-stud head with 36/31mm valves

Just an in progress picture to show size of port, not the final finish.
