Wiring. Lots of it to get ready for installing the new engine.

Fused spur to convert to pre engaged starter motor, cut a new hole in the dashboard and fitted an oil pressure gauge as I want to make sure all is well before wrecking weeks of hard work. Tidied up some historic wiring 'fixes' whilst I was at it.

All very satisfying as no major problems occurred.

Made a frame to stop the body from moving/twisting, it is now on it's side with half the floor missing now time for some triming and prep in the hope the replacement floor fits.

Not today...but yesterday.

Spent 30mins fitting a new CSI Dizzy. So easy to set up, a joy to do.

Just got to do a few test drives to see what Curve is best.

Cleaned carbs. I now have 3 HS4 and one HS6 in the man's cave.

Think it's enough for a Mini? :)

The plan is to Vizard one of them, rebuild and test (one day when the car is rolling...)

And started another side project:

My plan is to create a custom airbox, having the air intake behind the grille, the air filter somewhere close to it, and the airbox on the carb with the stub stack.

Stubstack and airbox could be made out of plastic 3D printing or GFRP.

Just do not have any idea of the available space for the whole system...

Pulled the wiper motor and cable out to see if I could improve the little to no higher wipe speed feature.
Connectors were a wee bit corroded so cleaned them as best I could. Used a bit of rust converted gel solution on the terminals followed by flushing off with brake cleaner. Cleaned and regreased cable. Took motor casing apart and cleaned out, put fresh grease. Got it all back together and on car. Two speeds are now there! LUXURY!!
